Editorial & Fact-Check Policy

This is the standard every guide on TextAllure Blog has to meet before it is published, and every time it is updated.

Facts are checked against the source, not memory

Menu paths, feature names, age rules and country availability are checked against Meta’s newsroom and the Facebook Help Center (or the relevant app’s own help pages) before publishing. Each guide carries a dated “facts checked” note at the end. Where something cannot be verified, we say so in the text instead of asserting it.

We say what we tested and what we did not

If a guide says a step was tested, it was done on a real phone. If we are relying on Meta’s documentation rather than a test, the note says “checked against”, not “tested”.

Updates

Facebook moves its menus often. When a reader reports a step that no longer matches, we re-check on the live app and update the guide, and the “Updated” date changes only when the content materially changed. We do not bump dates for cosmetic edits.

No invented people, numbers or promises

No fabricated testimonials, no made-up statistics, no “guaranteed matches”. Any number in a guide links to where it came from.

Advertising independence

The site is funded by Google AdSense. Advertisers have no say in topics, wording or recommendations, and we do not take payment for placement in guides. We are not affiliated with Meta, Facebook or any dating app.

Corrections

Report an error with the “Report a problem” link on any page. Verified corrections are made in the guide itself.
